At Racing Systems we aim to execute the highest quality race timing and management services available on the market through superior customer service, cutting-edge technology and a dynamic understanding of event production.
Racing Systems began as a finish line management and race results business in the Dallas area in 1989. Racing Systems times appoximately 100 races a year including road races, cross country, and triathlons. We time large races such as the Komen races, the White Rock Marathon, and Nike's Human Race, as well as smaller local events.
In 2001 Racing Systems began to time races using the ChampionChip, a small computer chip which runners attach to their shoes. Now we use a ChronoTrack system which reads a disposable D-Tag which runners also attach to their shoes. A runner's time is recorded when he/she crosses mats at the start and finish lines. A computer calculates the results. In longer races, mats are place along the route so that split times are also available to participants.
